     Poetry Peers is a group of writers, meeting at Rockland Public Library on the First Tuesday of the month at 6 PM, primarily focused on poetry. We offer each other community, encouragement and supportive critique. We use an optional choice of prompts to spark our creativity. The group is facilitated by Laurence Anne and Catherine Dowdell and is for people age 16 and up. We meet in the Board Room, lower level of the library.

Laurence Anne has written poetry most of her life and was the winner of the 2015 Maine Postmark Poetry Contest. She has participated in writing groups in the past and looks forward to joining others to create a Rockland-based group.

Catherine Dowdell has been writing poetry for over 20 years. She enjoys writing groups and the company of poets.
